Women's health and musculoskeletal physiotherapy for those preparing for pregnancy, navigating birth, and finding their way through postpartum and motherhood.
Pregnancy and early motherhood can feel overwhelming, especially with conflicting advice about what you "should" or "shouldn't" be doing. Our approach is thoughtful and individualised, grounded in clinical expertise and a real understanding of this stage of life, so you can feel confident in your body, not fearful of it.
We help you understand how your body adapts at each stage, how pelvic health and whole-body strength work together, and how to build or rebuild strength in a way that feels realistic and sustainable, because education builds confidence, not just for birth, but for motherhood and long-term wellbeing.
Clear guidance and practical support, so you feel confident in your body rather than fearful of it.
Every plan is built around your body, your stage, and your goals.

"I love helping women feel capable in their bodies, with the tools and a realistic plan to move forward with confidence."
I'm Alannah, a physiotherapist with over 10 years' experience across musculoskeletal and women's health. I completed a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science, followed by a Doctor of Physiotherapy and a Postgraduate in Pelvic Health at the University of Melbourne. Over the years, I've found my passion in supporting women through pregnancy, birth and motherhood.
I love helping women feel capable in their bodies, and providing information, practical strategies and a realistic plan so they can move forward with confidence. As a mum of two, I understand the physical and emotional demands of this phase of life, and how hard it is to prioritise yourself when every minute is claimed by family. I bring that lived experience to my practice, offering advice that is both realistic and empathetic.
With a background in exercise science and general musculoskeletal physiotherapy, I emphasise exercise prescription, strength-building and thorough, hands-on treatment to help manage musculoskeletal aches and pains. My postgraduate training in pelvic health allows me to work with conditions such as prolapse, incontinence and sexual pain and dysfunction. Combining this training with practical, hands-on experience and my own experience as a mum, I aim to give women the tools, knowledge and guidance to feel confident and capable in their bodies through pregnancy, birth and beyond.
Outside the clinic, I love cooking from scratch, experimenting with recipes, and embracing the beautiful chaos of family life while my children are young, guided by the same natural, informed and empowered approach that I bring to my practice.

At your first appointment, we take time to understand your symptoms, goals, and health history. This is followed by a physical assessment tailored to your concerns, which may include observing how you move, testing strength, and assessing contributing factors.
If relevant, a pelvic floor internal examination may be discussed. This is always optional, explained in advance, and only performed with your consent.
We then outline a clear treatment plan so you leave with direction and next steps.
You can be seen at any stage of pregnancy, including early pregnancy and before your 20-week scan. In early pregnancy, we generally avoid internal (pelvic floor) examinations unless there is a clear clinical reason, as some conditions that may change management are only identified at the 20-week scan, and we prefer to minimise any unnecessary variables during this time.
There is still a lot we can do without an internal examination, including managing symptoms, guiding safe exercise, and supporting early pregnancy-related concerns. If symptoms require it, an internal assessment may still be considered on a case-by-case basis. After a clear 20-week scan, internal assessment can be included more routinely if appropriate and agreed.
You can be seen as early as 2 weeks after birth, including via telehealth if needed. Please contact us directly to arrange this. Early review can be particularly helpful for scar management following a caesarean section, and for guidance around early recovery, movement, and symptom management after a vaginal birth.
In-person appointments after around 6 weeks postpartum are common, particularly once you have had GP or obstetric clearance for internal assessment, or once bleeding has fully settled.
We kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Cancellations or reschedules made within 24 hours of the appointment time, or failure to attend an appointment, may incur a fee of up to 50% of the appointment cost.
Thank you for your understanding and for helping us manage appointment availability.
